The film was screened at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce in Khalanga, Jumla, on Saturday.
Devendra Upadhyay, of Kudari, Jumla, a film buff, was brimming with excitement while watching the film. He had wanted to see the film for quite a while, but given the remoteness of his hometown, the movie hadn’t had the chance to be screened in Jumla before this series. On getting a chance to watch the film, set in nearby Mugu, he said, “The film touched me. It depicts our lifestyle and culture; and also it embodies the Khas language that we speak; it was very heartwarming.”
The film has been screened in Khalanga for the past two Saturdays, and Devikrishna Adhikari, of Maha Baipatra Khola, plans to see it once again. “The movie was really touching and I plan on making this trip to Khalanga to catch another screening,” he told the Post.
Like it had done elsewhere, Kalo Pothi is winning rave reviews in Jumla as well.
