Former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has said that the constitution cannot be amended without the support of the opposition parties.
Speaking at an event in Pokhara on Saturday, Rayamajhi said the CPN-UML, the RPP-Nepal and the CPN (ML) should be taken into confidence for addressing the Madhesi parties. “The constitution can only be amended through a two-thirds majority, which the government lacks,” said Rayamajhi, calling on all the parties to help the government with constitution amendment so that the country might focus on economic development.
