The event was part of the Cultural Exchange Concert, supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum in Delhi
Nov 11, 2016-The historic Patan Museum grooved to jazz on Wednesday. The event, Jazz at Patan, saw a performance by the Austrian Band Triple Ace—Colours in Jazz, in collaboration with Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory.
The event was part of the Cultural Exchange Concert, supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum in Delhi. The members of the band also gave out a free workshop to local musicians as part of the programme.
The Austrian Band performed their own compositions like Jhelum, Punakha, Nelumbo, Kathy and also standard jazz tunes like Someday My Prince will Come, Round Midnight and Oleo.
Speaking to the Post, the organisers expressed their hope that the collaboration between Nepal and Austria will open doors for many other musicians across the world to travel to Nepal and share their music.
