Conflict fostering under the guise of identity politics: Oli

Oli said the Parliament would not function unless the government takes back what he called the inappropriate, unpopular, and anti-national amendment proposal.
“Plots are rife to mislead the people and weaken the national unity,” said Oli, who arrived in Nepalgunj to inaugurate the general convention of UML-aligned civil servants’ union.
Claiming that attempts are being made to foster “conflict industry” by instigating communal hostilities, the UML chairman said that it was an irony that a speaker
of truth was being labelled a fascist.
“Poisons are being spread in the name of identity. There is a trend of spreading conflict and starting an industry later in the name of managing that conflict,” said Oli.
The UML chairman remarked that the CPN (Maoist Centre) adopted the caste politics by abandoning the problems of class, oppression and discrimination. “Plans are afoot to start an industry of conflict against our national unity, progress, development and harmony,” he said.
“Last year in Tikapur, violence spread one day in the name of a caste. There was arson the next day in the name of another. That’s the conflict industry,” he said.
