Maoist Centre rejigs int’l department

A meeting led by senior leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha on Thursday re-elected leader Yubaraj Chaulagain as the department’s secretary. He also held the post of the erstwhile Unified CPN Maoist.
Newly appointed members include Suresh Ale Magar, Matrika Poudel and Nanda Kumar Thapa from other Maoist forces that joined to form the Maoist Centre.
The meeting also decided to form six units under the department for effective functioning and ease of contact with the Nepalis living abroad.
The units will be established in India, Gulf, Europe, East Asia, Americal and Oceania. It was also decided to create eight sectors—India and South Asia, China and East Asia, West Asia, Oceana, America, Africa, UN, INGOs and multi-national organisations—under the department for furthering diplomatic and political relations.
