A truck on Monday evening rammed into a crowded Christmas market in central Berlin, killing 12 people and injuring nearly 50 as it smashed through tables and wooden stands.
The government of Nepal is deeply shocked by the news of the attack that resulted in loss of precious lives and injury of innocent people in Berlin, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. “Nepal conveys deepest condolences and sympathies to the government of Germany, the German people and the bereaved families,” said the statement, adding: “The government and people of Nepal firmly stand by the government of Germany and the German people at this hour of grief.”
