The Ministry of Health in coordination with the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) will be conducting free healthcare programmes for the earthquake survivors in the affected areas. A meeting between Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NRA Govindaraj Pokharel and Health Secretary Senendraraj Upreti on Sunday decided to run free healthcare programmes in the quake-hit districts. As per the decision, coordination would be made with the Institute of Medicine (IoM), Kathmandu University, National Academy of Medical Sciences and Patan Academy of Health Sciences to deploy the specialists in the health camps, Pokharel said. Likewise, Joint Spokesperson for NRA Bhishma Kumar Bhusal said that the Health Ministry on Sunday wrote to the District Public Health Offices and District Health Offices to provide free health services to the quake-hit.
