President, VP Pun, PM extend Holi greetings

In her message, President Bhandari wished that the festival of colourss may inspire all the Nepalis to exchange happiness amongst them as well as strengthen the social ties.
“Such festival helps forge national unity, foster fraternity, mutual harmony and communal amity, the President underscored the need for preserving such cultural festivities in the country like ours with religious and cultural diversity,” the President said.
Vice President Pun extended Holi greetings to all the people, stating that the festival of colourss symbolizes the spirit of tolerance, harmony and fraternity. He also wished that may the festival inspire to bring into effect the new constitution by holding all three levels of elections by mid-January, 2018.
Extending his best wishes to all the Nepalis at home and abroad, PM Dahal said that Nepal is a country of multiple languages, many cultures and numerous religions, pressing for the preservation and promotion of common cultural heritages like Holi festival.
Wishing the festival may bring new joy, enthusiasm and encouragement to all the Nepalis, the PM’s message says, “May this festival foster brotherhood, communal harmony and cooperation among the citizens.”
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba also extended his best wishes to all the Nepalis on the occasion.
