The exhibit, organised by Artudio in Swoyambhu, featured paintings that drew on Ahmed’s experience during his last one-and-half-month stay in Nepal.
Ahmed, who specialises in cinematography and photography, is an independent artist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He defines his art as a form of self expression and internalising.
Ahmed’s artist’s statement reads, “The artworks exhibited are the representation of my feelings towards Kathmandu. I have tried to portray the instincts that I felt while staying in Nepal through my paintings. The paintings are my version of notes of my stay here in the Valley” On Saturday, the artist also gave a talk on his works and his journey as an artist among the artists and art students on April 29 as part of the exhibit.
