Foreign Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat discussed bilateral issues with his Singaporean counterpart Josephine Teo Li Min on Thursday, inviting the Southeast Asian nation to invest in Nepal.
During the meeting held in Singapore, the two sides agreed on the issue of establishing a bilateral joint consultative mechanism for the consolidation of diplomatic relations and promotion of bilateral investment.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement, Mahat urged the Singapore government to invest in hydropower, infrastructure development, tourism and information and technology sectors in Nepal. He also requested Singapore to ease the visa process for Nepali students.
