The exhbit, which kicked off on Saturday, was inaugurated amid a function by chancellor of Nepali Academy of Fine Arts, Ragini Upadhyay.
Speaking at the event, Upadhyay said, “We believe that this exhibit, which notably features works by the noted Indian artists, will go on to add to the cultural bond between the two countries.”
The exhibit features artist Sahani’s Nature series and Khanam’s Nisha series.
Artist and critic Ramesh Khanal said that the works on display present nature, beautifully and evocatively. “The artists have added to the nature’s beauty their artistic deftness, which is fascinating to see. The works depict a perfect combination of colours, subject and emotions.”
Speaking at the event, artist Sahani said, “I love to travel and as a matter of fact this theme about nature manifests in anything I do. I have tried to maintain a balance between the beauty of nature with my artistic skill.”
Curator of Mithila Yain, Shyam Sundar Yadav, said that the Gallery is aspiring to create a bond, cultural and artistic, between the two countries, and that this latest exhibition is part of that.
The week-long exhibit will run until June 10.
