Speaking at a programme in the Capital on Thursday, leader Yadav suggested the RJP-N leaders join forces to contest the elections jointly. “The SSF-N is open to an electoral alliance with any like-minded parties. Those committed to federalism, republicanism and in favour of change would be their first choice,” he said.
Pointing to huge enthusiasm across the Tarai, he said boycott from any political party would not affect elections in the southern plains.
Yadav claimed the SSF-N would garner huge public support in the second phase of local polls compared to other parties, adding that preparations for the vote were in full swing.
“We will file candidacies where we have hugepublic support. People are longing to join our parties,” he said.
