Addressing a meeting of the Maoist Centre parliamentary board at Singha Durbar on Monday, Dahal said his party was for making the constitution promulgated in 2015 more widely acceptable and strengthening national unity by bringing forces like the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal on board the election process.
“The process of the amendment bill presented by the previous government will now begin,” Dahal said, adding that there was no alternative to bringing the RJP-Nepal on board the polls by presenting the amendment bill for endorsement in Parliament.
The meeting also discussed a possible candidate for the chair of the parliamentary International Relations and Labour Committee.
The committee has been vacant after its chairman Prabhu Sah was appointed the urban development minister in the Cabinet of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
