The app is currently targeted at the denizens of the Valley and is first of its kind in the Nepali market.
“For every kind of Facebook post—status, timeline photos or check-ins—Chitooo rewards users with points, which can be redeemed at partner stores for exclusive offers and deals. While you may earn 10 points for a status update, you will earn 100 points if you check-in at our partner store with your picture,” says Saujanya Acharya, co-founder of the app.
Talking to the Post about the vision of the app, Acharya adds, “We built the app to make online marketing easily available for SMEs of all shapes and sizes in Nepal. We want to create a favourable eco-system for SMEs by lowering the cost of acquiring and retaining new customers.”
Chitooo provides a simple platform for both service providers and buyers. “While the users get more value, SMEs get more customers,” adds Acharya.
Users can download the application from the Google Playstore and log in using their existing Facebook account.
