The Supreme Court has set September 12 as the date for the final verdict on the writ petition filed by Nepal Police DIG Navaraj Silwal, challenging the appointment of Prakash Aryal to the post of IGP.
The decision was made by the extended full bench, led by Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli, after completing the hearing on Thursday.
The final hearing on the case had begun on August 10.
DIG Silwal had filed the writ petition at the SC on April 11, a day after the government elevated Aryal to the post of IGP. (PR)
