Silence festival VI warms up with pre-gigs
The Silence Festival is one of the most anticipated music festivals for music fanatics in the country. The sixth edition of the festival will take place on October 28. Meanwhile, the organisers are all set to warm up with two pre gigs in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
The Kathmandu edition of Silence Festival VI pre-gig is slated to take place on Saturday at the Purple Haze Bar in Thamel. The band line up consists of rock and metal bands such as Kamero, Aakrosh, Screaming Marionette, Neck Deep in Filth, Shadow in Shade, Psynide and Syndrome.
The Pokhara pre-gig, slated to take place on October 25 at Rolling Stones Rock Bar, will feature artists such as Enigmatik (Switzerland), Kaal, Chillaum (Australia), Born In Silence, Cumsyrup, Psynide, Nirziv, and Seventh Sense.
Organisers inform that the merchandises and the tickets for the event will be available at the pre-gigs.
Since its inception, the festival has featured a number of established international artists—the likes of Engimatik, Vader, Textures and Behemoth. The organisers say that the primary intention for starting the project and bringing in international artists is to uplift the Nepali music scene.
This year’s silence festival will take place on a Saturday at Bhrikutimandap ,12-8 pm.
