Police said 26-year-old Vered Aviyashar, who was seriously injured in the accident, died at the TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu on Monday.
Eight other Israeli nationals, five male and three female, and two Nepalis were also injured in the incident. They were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.
The Bolero SUV (Ga 1 Ja 6034) had overturned at a steep section of the road near Talgaun along the Annapurna Circuit Trek at around 6:45 pm on Sunday. The vehicle was on its way to Talgaun from Beshisahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung.
Police said the car was carrying passengers and goods beyond its capacity.
The driver, Mangal Bahadur BK, is on the run after the accident, police said.
2 killed in Taplejung
Meanwhile, two persons were killed and three others suffered injuries when a car plunged some 200 metres down the road at Phungling Municipality-10 in Taplejung on Monday.
The car was carrying pilgrims to Pathibhara Temple.
Police identified the deceased as Homraj Ghimire and his sister-in-law Anita Thapa Ghimire of Urlabari, Morang.
Two of the injured were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. Driver Amit Shrestha is receiving treatment at Taplejung District Hospital, police said.
