Oli blames NC's 'deception' for support to Lingden

In a brief remark after filing his candidacy in Damak, Jhapa, on Thursday, Oli said
it was the NC's dishonesty not to leave the electoral seat to the RPP candidate in Jhapa-3 as promised.
NC leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula and RPP General Secretary Rajendra Lingden are the two opponents in the Jhapa-3 federal parliamentary seat. The left alliance did not field its candidate in the constituency after announcing to support Lingden in the December 7 vote.
The UML chief claimed that NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba had signed an agreement with the RPP to support the latter's candidates in Jhapa-3 and Makwanpur-1. "The Congress believes in ploy and deception rather than political honesty," Oli remarked, claiming that the RPP could quit the government within a few days.
Oli read the NC's remarks that the country would have an authoritarianism rule if the left alliance wins the elections as its "defeated mentality". The UML chief is a federal parliament candidate in Jhapa-5.
