RJP-N backs Dahal as next PM: Bhandari
Jan 13, 2018-
A Rastriya Janata Party, Nepal leader has said CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal should lead the next government.
“If the left alliance needs our support to form the next government and to implement the constitution for ensuring peace, stability and development in the country, we can’t support a KP Oli-led government,” RJPN presidium member Sharat Singh Bhandari said in Mahottari on Friday.
Bhandari expressed his hope that Maoist Chairman Dahal would amend the constitution to address the concerns of the Madhes community in the changed political context.
The RJP-N leader, who was elected to the federal parliament from Mahottari-2, said the party could trust Dahal as he had stood in favour of constitutional amendments.
Bhandari was of the opinion that Dahal’s role and importance in the country had further grown after the conclusion of the three crucial elections. “There are two important tasks still pending--concluding the peace process and amending the constitution. Only Dahal can be trusted to complete the twin tasks,” said Bhandari.
