Govt staff yet to report to work in Province 4

A majority of the employees assigned to the provincial ministries and government offices in Pokhara, the temporary headquarters of Province-4, have not reported to work so far.
Office of Chief Minister and the Council of Provincial Ministers Spokesperson Jhalakram Subedi said, “No secretaries have been assigned to the Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Financial Affairs and Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development till now. These ministries have not started work as yet.”
There are 30 posts for the Ministry of Social Development; however, only five employees are in contact. There are only 10 employees working in the Office of Chief Minister and the Council of Provincial Ministers now. The government has created 21 posts for the office of Chief Minister and the Council of Provincial Ministers. There are only five employees in Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, four in Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative, six employees in the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment. Likewise, there are no employees in the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development till now.
There are seven ministries in Province 4. Subedi said they hope all employees report to their offices by February 13. The employees who have already joined their offices said that they are facing difficulties due to lack of employees in offices. They said that they are facing problems to operate the provincial offices now.
