After receiving reports from the joint panels on Tuesday, the Party Unification Coordination Committee is preparing to discuss contentious issues on Thursday.
However, not much is expected to come out of the meeting due to the busy schedule of Prime Minister and UML Chair KP Sharma Oli ahead of his India visit. A week after preparing the reports, the panels handed the documents to Oli and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who jointly lead the PUCC, on Tuesday.
Receiving the reports at a meeting of the PUCC in Baluwatar, PM Oli appreciated efforts of the taskforce members. The meeting dissolved both the panels, said Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha, a member of the top committee. The panels were formed on February 19 to draft the statute and the political document for unified entity and outline its organisational structure.
