PM Oli calls to end Mt Everest pollution

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed concern over pollution in Mt Everest. Addressing the silver jubilee function of Pasang Lhamu Mountaineering Foundation on Monday, PM Oli underscoring the need of keeping the world’s highest peak clean. Mt Everest should not be polluted by throwing food wrappers and plastic products. PM Oli said that Pasang Lhamu Sherpa was source of inspiration and courage to Nepali women. Saying there are numerous mountains in Nepal, he pointed out the need of paying attention for their protection. “We should protect our mountains. They have significant contribution in Nepal’s tourism,” he said. (RSS)
