A three-legged literary fest featuring authors who published their work in 2074 is starting this week. The fest will kick off with a function in Surkhet, on Saturday, and then will travel to Dhangadi on April 30, and will wrap up with a function in Kohalpur on May 1.

The fest is organised by publishers Fineprint and features authors it published in the last Nepali calendar year.

The featured authors are Madan Krishna Shrestha, Haribahadur Thapa, Yug Pathak, Shivani Singh Tharu, Amar Neupane, Yangesh, Nayan Raj Pandey and Mahesh Bikran Shah.

“The main objective of the fest is to work towards bridging the gap between the authors and audience in the moffusil,” reads a note issued by Fineprint.

Niraj Bhari of Fineprint said that the fest is part of the publisher’s attempt to develop reading culture among Nepalis.

The second edition of the fest will take place in May.
