Under the Shade at Mcube

Gallery Mcube in Patan is set to host an exhibition of interdisciplinary works by resident artists titled, Chautari: Under the Shade. Eight young artists from the US and Nepal  will be showcasing works that were created during a one-month residency workshop at Mcube that was organised by visual artist and curator, Manish Lal Shrestha.

The artists hail from different institutions and most are either recent graduates or are still enrolled. All eight of them specialise in different disciplines. Participating artists include film maker and writer Michelle Norton, sculptor Hanna Allen, painter Dania Gonzalez, architect Brandon Welchko, ceramist Jessie Miller, print maker Nabina Sunuwar, painter Pawan Sunuwar and mixed media artist, Yajyu Manandhar.

The inaugural show begins at 4 pm, Thursday and the exhibit will continue through July 24.
