Women rally in Mahendranagar

They marched around the town before staging a sit-in outside the District Police Office. Helen Shrestha, a women’s rights activists, said it was a symbolic protest to drawn the government’s attention towards their concerns.
Our protest will continue until the persons who raped and murdered Nirmala are brought to justice, she added.
On Tuesday, women in the town had rallied carrying brooms.Meanwhile, the sit-in demanding justice for Nirmala continued at Madan Chowk on Thursday as well.A group of women, under the banner of Citizens’ Struggle Committee, has been staging the protest, every day between 9am to 5pm, for the last six days.
