During a Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting held last Monday, a number of Federal Parliament Members accused the concerned government authority for taking bribes from the sugar mills while enforcing the regulation. Showing concern over the escalating price of sugar ahead of the festive period, PAC had summoned the Ministry’s Secretaries Chandra Kumar Ghimire and Yam Kumari Khatiwada and Director General of the Department of Supply Management and Protection of Consumers Interest Yogendra Gauchan, among others, for discussion.
Terming the accusation baseless, a discontented Yadav has sought the probe from the Legislative Parliament against the lawmakers. (PR)
