ANFA to reward women’s U-18 team

The Emergency Committee meeting of the football governing body held on Tuesday decided to award the women’s team in recognition of their second place finish in the SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship that concluded in Bhutan on Sunday. The Nepali team had gone down 1-0 against Bangladesh in the final. On their way to reaching the final, Nepal had edged India 3-1 on penalties after 1-1 draw in the regulation and extra time. The meeting also decided to send ‘A’ Division outfits Manang Marshyangdi Club and Nepal APF Club to the Governor’s Gold Cup football tournament to be held in Sikkim, India, from October 23 to November 3.
ANFA has also formed a three-member Advance Settlement Committee under coordination of Hari Rayamajhi. Treasurer Rabindra Joshi is the member and the coordinator will add a chartered accountant as the third member.
The committee will have three-month tenure. Once the committee gets final shape it will send application to the individuals and institutions to settle the outstanding advances within 35-days.
