ISWNE set up its branch in Nepal

International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors (ISWNE) has set up its branch in Nepal with Kabir Rana, Chief Editor of Deshanter Weekly, as its Chairman.

Editor of Muldhar Weekly and General Secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Ramesh Bista, FNJ chapter Province-2 President and editor of Morcha Weekly Dipendra Chauhan, Editor of Deshanter weekly Bishnu Prasad Devkota, Editor of Naulo Bihani weekly Tula Adhikari, and Editor of Chiyabari Weekly Som Adhikari are the members of branch.

Pradeep Kaphle, Editor of Damauli Express, is the Vice-Chairman of the ISWNE Nepal branch.

It is the first time that the branch has been established in Nepal. ISWNE was established in 1955 in America with the members representing the editors from England, Australia, Ireland and Canada among other countries.

The first meeting of the Nepal branch has extended special thanks to the central members of ISWNE for approving the Nepal branch of ISWNE.
