Hearing on the case filed against the government's decision of granting amnesty to Bal Krishna Dhungel would be held on Monday. Dhungel is serving a jail sentence after being found guilty of murder.

Although hearing on a division bench of Judges—Cholendra Shumsher Rana and Hari Krishna Karki of the Supreme Court was determined today, the date for hearing was fixed for Monday as decision could not be made on the case after Judge Karki had already looked into the case from the victim's side.

Senior lawyer Dinesh Tripathi on May 24 filed writ petition against the government's decision of awarding amnesty to Dhungel on the occasion of Republic Day.

A single bench of Judge Deepak Kumar Karki on Friday had summoned both sides within 24 hours for discussion along with the reasons behind offering amnesty to Dhungel. RSS
