Police team checks Poddar’s residence

The probe team arrested Poddar on Tuesday night from Dillibazaar. Police searched his Silver City Apartment in Kalikasthan. Apparently, he is one of the investors in the apartment.
Poddar has investments in real estate and restaurant business. Probe Chief Ishwor Poudel said, “The police action followed, based on the statement of Chudamani Upreti aka Gore, the kingpin of 33kg gold smugglers, Bhujung Gurung and Tsering Wangel Ghale suggesting the businessman’s role in the crime and Poddar’s admission during his interrogation.”
