Gold smuggling and murder case: 3 remanded in custody, 3 released on bail

The court has ordered the release of three others on bail.
A bench of district judge Narayan Prasad Sharma ordered the judicial remand of Madan Silwal, driver Laxman Gurung and Ram Kumar Tiwari, alleged aide of Chudamani Upreti, aka Gore. The bench observed that the evidences found so far show the trio’s involvement in the case.
The court has ordered the release of Rewanta Kumar Acharya, of Urlabari, Morang, who is said to have supplied Inverter battery used to electrocuted Sanam Shakya, and Money Exchange businessmen duo Binod Adhikari and Moti Ram Shresha. Acharya has been asked to post a bail of Rs 121,500, while Adhikari and Shrestha have been asked to post a bail of Rs 100,000 each.
