Police arrested a man at Bhajani Municipality-3 of Kalali district with seven million of looted Indian rupees on Sunday.
Krishna Raj Joshi, 31, of Lamkicuha Municipality-1 was arrested at Bardawafata in the district with IRs 7,179,300 stolen from Gujarat, India. The cash was hidden inside sacks of potatoes and other commodities and was being brought into Nepal on a motorcycle (Se 4 Pa 6760).
Joshi, in his statement to police, said the cash was stolen from a man named Shrapahach in Gujarat. DSP Shiva Bahadur Singh quoting Joshi said there were five persons involved in the loot.
Police is investigating the case.
