Firefighters battle blaze at APF warehouse

A fire erupted at the warehouse of the Armed Police Force in Balambu, Kathmandu on Monday evening, gutting the stocks of the security agency and medical equipment of Nepal APF Hospital.
Inspector General Raju Aryal said the cause of the fire, which started around 4:45pm, remains unknown. Aryal said the warehouse was padlocked, and security personnel were stationed to safeguard it at the time the fire broke out.
The damage caused by the blaze is yet to be determined.
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane inspected the warehouse following the fire and directed the APF leadership to form a probe committee. Subsequently, the APF formed a nine-member probe committee under the leadership of Additional Inspector General Banshi Raj Dahal.
