During the match played in Singapore today, Aghanistan posted a target of 196 runs.
In reply, Nepal were packed up in 40.3 over by scoring just 99 runs.
With the defeat, Nepal were limited in eight points while Afghanistan accumulated 12 points and have been qualified for the World Cup to be held in New Zealand next year.
Ibrahim Zadran of Afghanistan scored 101 runs of 114 balls.
Though Nepal did good bowling and managed to limit Afghanistan in 195 runs, players’ poor batting performance failed Nepal to qualify for the World Cup.
Sabab Alam and Dipendra Aire claimed four and three wickets respectively for Nepal.
Nepal’s all rounder Aire proved him strong by contributing 48 runs while most of the players returned to pavilion by scores less runs.
Yusuf Jaji and Mujib Rahaman of Afghanistan took four and three wickets respectively.
Skipper Sandip Lamichhane of Nepal has been declared man of series.
